Travis Barker seen after being hospitalized for pancreatitis as he drives with Kourtney Kardashian

by Atlanta Business Journal

Travis Barker appeared to be on the mend following his shocking hospitalization for ‘life-threatening pancreatitis’ when he was spotted out on a drive with his wife Kourtney Kardashian on Monday.

The joyride in Calabasas was the first time the 46-year-old drummer had been spotted since his discharge from the hospital.

The rocker looked reinvigorated with his 43-year-old reality star wife as they took a cruise in his vintage orange Chevy CST pickup truck.

On the road again: Travis Barker, 46, was seen for the first time after hospitalization for ‘life-threatening pancreatitis’ when he was spotted out on a drive with his wife Kourtney Kardashian, 43, on Monday in Calabasas

Travis was covered up against the breeze from the convertible truck, which was topless aside from a white safety structure.

He appeared to have on a black ski cap or headband under his matching black hoodie.

Kourtney wore her long raven tresses down, and they fluttered about in the wind and danced across her face.

The couple sat in the front bucket seats, and they appeared to be joined by a third person sitting in the middle of the back row.

Kourtney and Travis appeared to be joined in the truck by two others in the back seat.

One smaller figure had a hood over their head, and the appeared to be joined by another person on the driver’s side.

It’s not clear if the other passengers were Travis or Kourtney’s children, but a video that Kourtney posted to her Instagram Stories showed her cruising in the truck with her daughter Penelope, nine, and her youngest son Reign, seven.

The lovebirds seemed to be in high spirts after the punk rocker’s health scare, as they could be heard rocking out to Bruno Mars’ 2010 single Grenade.

In her videos of one of their drives, Kourtney wore a black wide-brimmed Prada hat, which he held down with her hand to stop it from flying off in the breeze, despite having a draw string under her chin.

She looked relaxed and casual in a white tank top over a black bikini top, along with a black shrug covering her arms and shoulders.

Travis had been hospitalized a week earlier for what he later revealed was ‘life-threatening pancreatitis,’ which he said was apparently caused by an endoscopy that he went in for on Monday of last week.

‘I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since,’ he wrote in his Instagram Stories on Saturday.

‘During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis.’

He concluded by sharing how ‘very very grateful’ he was that he was ‘much better’ following ‘intensive treatment.’

In her own social media statement, Kourtney wrote, ‘Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been. Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went in for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.’

She continued, ‘I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and appreciative.

‘I am so so thankful to our specialists, doctors, and nurses at Cedars Sinai for taking such wonderful care of my husband and me during our stay.’

In a follow-up post, she wrote, ‘It’s crazy how sometimes words could never truly express the gratitude or feelings I have inside of me.’
