[unpaid/sample] Liquid Lurex is one of those marvellous products that does the job with the minimum of effort but maximum results.

I have three of the new colours to show you – I firmly thought the taupe-y tones of Emily would be my go-to but it turns out to be Zora, a chocolate shade that I’ve completely fallen for. I’ve been, let’s say, unexcited by eyeshadows for a while but it just goes to show that all it takes is the right product to bring back the mojo and Zora has done it for me.

In the line up is Zora, Emily and Daphne, a sage-gold tone. In my head, I’m calling them sweater shades – they’ll bring life to any winter palette you’re wearing, clothes wise, and I tend towards the neutral knit that benefits from a bit of complementary accessorising with make-up. At this point, mornings are chilly and I’m regretting not doing the summer job I had planned to of washing all my knitwear before I really need it.

The formula for these gives a water-sheen finish – it’s truly beautiful. Not quite metallic but light reflective and gently shimmery. Interestingly, blending seems to increase the radiance of them. I didn’t take the doe’s foot directly to my lids but instead used a blending brush picking up from the doe’s foot and then going to my lids. I’ve seen Lisa’s application video and she goes direct but I’d rather use too little and be cautious with a brush than overload at the get-go – you can always add more and it’s far more difficult to remove than layer. In the swatch from bottom to top it’s Zora, Emily and Daphne. There’s a purple shade I’d quite like to try just for the drama of it – if you love glam, take a look at Iris.

This is Zora buffed up – the sheen shows more but the colour shows less so if you want depth, you need to go again.

This is one application of Zora – go again for a deeper note. Liquid Lurex HERE is £19 and worth every single one of those pennies :-).
